The goal of the meeting is to ‘tackle key issues confronting the region. Golden Anniversary celebrations are also held to congratulate the Filipino Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (FILSCAP) for its 50 years of commitment promoting the interests and protecting the rights of Filipino creators.’

Since MACA was established in 2009, CISAC and other musical societies have been supportive and often express concerns over the progress in the region, especially regarding the license of multinational enterprises, major broadcasters, cable operators and satellite operators in Macau.

During the meeting, CISAC gives affirmations to the achievements of MACA, particularly on the recent development and expansion of licensing. By actively communicating with local businesses, and by raising the public awareness on copyright protection, MACA is expected to make continuous progress in the future. Musical societies also welcome MACA to seek assistance from them if MACA needs it.
