1.1This tariff applies to performances of copyright music and lyrics within the Society’s repertoire at any concourse, mall, walkway, other part of a shopping centre, office building, complex or commercial establishment.

1.1This tariff applies to performances of copyright music and lyrics within the Society’s repertoire at any concourse, mall, walkway, other part of a shopping centre, office building, complex or commercial establishment.
1.2This tariff does not apply to:
- Performances in shops and food courts contained within such a complex;
- Performances by means of a contrivance, such as a juke box, capable of being operated by the insertion of a coin or token;
- Performances at piers, and mass-transit stations;
- Live performance by performers in person;
- Performances by means of tape-recorders, video players, or similar contrivances in conjunction with special or short-term events such as dancing or fashion shows, exhibitions, road shows etc.
2.ROYALTY RATES
2.1All royalties are charged at the royalty rate in force at the beginning of the License Year, and are payable in advance of the License Year.
2.2The royalty rates payable under this tariff for a license Year or part thereof are as follows:
(i)Background Music (Mechanical Performance):
