(Macao, Dec. 17, 2015) –The Macau Association of Composers, Authors & Publishers (MACA) releases MACA Album Volume 4 at 3pm on December 17 2015 at Stage. The Association have published four MACA Albums in four years in a row since 2012, receiving great response from the music industry and the society. This year, MACA has once again made the efforts to publish for local music creators; MACA Album Volume 4 records eight high-quality entry songs from the MACA Song Writers Quest of the same year, with the aim to share 100% locally produced music with the public and to support the sustainable development of the cultural and creative industry in Macau.
MACA Chairman UNG Kuoc Iang states in his speech that the awareness of the copyright protection has gradually been raised in the public. MACA, sharing a similar goal with the Macao Government to promote local music, has been working together with Macau Cultural Affairs Bureau and the Macao Foundation on the production and publishing of the Album. Meanwhile, the Chairman emphasizes the importance of respecting music and their music creators. It is important to obtain the Creators’ approval by applying for a music license prior to any public performance.
The producers and the music creators of MACA Album Volume 4 attend the release ceremony, including “MACA Song Writers’ Quest 2015” champions PUN Kuan Pou and Ondina CHAN, first runner-up Jason CHANG and second runner-up Yaya LAM and Rex PUN of the band Black Sheep, as well as finalists LEONG Chi Long, LEONG Chou In and Bobby LIO.
MACA Album Volume 4 is priced at MOP 68 only per piece and available at the following locations: The Mandarin’s House Gift Shop, Era Music, Pin-to Livros & Musica, Centro Audio Visual ‘Tin Vek’, Talent Music Center, Plaza Cultural Macau and Macau Deaf Association. All income from the MACA albums sales is donated to the Macau Deaf Association to help people in need of hearing aid.
