(Macao, March 6, 2017) - “Macau Copyright Campus Tour”, which is co-organized by Macao Customs Service (SA), Intellectual Property Department of Macao Economic Services (DSE), and Macau Association of Composers, Authors & Publishers (MACA), officially started at Pooi To Middle School on 27 February. The organizers will put display panels at various schools in Macau during the tour, using simple and interesting storyboard to introduce to students the importance of intellectual property rights and music copyright, and having Q&A sessions, so that students can learn copyright knowledge through interaction, and improve their civil awareness regarding intellectual property rights.
Lingnan Secondary School is the second stop of the tour. The guests gave speeches at the school hall, presented the overview of intellectual property rights in Macau, and expressed that intellectual property rights exist as an indispensable part of economic development due to Macau’s rapid growth. Promotion should be strengthened, so as to improve the awareness and moral values of the citizens.
During the tour, the students reacted enthusiastically and actively participated in the Q&A quiz game and queued for the question papers.
