The Performing Right Society Visits MACA

The Performing Right Society (PRS) visited Macau Association of Composers, Authors & Publishers (MACA) on 1 February 2012. PRS was established over a hundred years and engaging in Music Copyright in U.K.  MACA is honored to have opportunity to share and exchange experience in performance licensing with PRS.

Mr. Florent Quercioli, representative of PRS, has explained the operation of general licensing in U.K. and learned about the music market in Macau. Being an affiliated society with MACA, PRS granted the public performing right of their members to MACA by signing reciprocal agreement. Besides, the royalties distribution has been successfully made to PRS last year. PRS is grateful to offer any assistance and opinion to MACA in terms of copyright and licensing in the future.
