MACA to Visit the National Copyright Administration

（Beijing, March 21st 2023）- The International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers(CISAC), Music Copyright Society of China(MCSC) and Macau Association of Composers, Authors and Publishers(MACA) visited National Copyright Administration on March 21st 2023, the three societies were greeted by Mr. Wang Zhi Cheng the Director General of National Copyright Administration, Ms. Zhao Xiu Ling the Deputy Director of National Copyright Administration, Mr. Xu Wei the Inspector, Ms. Xiang Fei Fan the Department Head and Ms. Ye Ting Ting the Researcher.

Wang Zhi Cheng, the Director General of National Copyright Administration welcomed the three societies and said that China is vigorously supporting the development of the "Hengqin Guangdong-Macau Deep Cooperation Zone" (hereinafter referred to as the "Cooperation Zone") and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, and hoped that mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau will cooperate closely and take practical actions to promote the development of intellectual property. Benjamin Ng Regional Director of CISAC Asia Pacific Region, Zhang Jing the Manager of CISAC Asia Pacific Region, Liu Ping the Vice President of MCSC and Ung Kuoc Iang the CEO of MACA, all had speeches at the conference, and introduced the current situation of the development of music copyright and the discussion for the cooperative management of music copyright in the cooperation zone and the Greater Bay Area, and shared relevant work about the development of music copyright in both mainland China and Macau in the past three years under COVID situation. Zhao Xiu Ling the Deputy Director gave a great deal of compliment for promotion work of MACA, and she hoped that Macau, mainland China and Hong Kong will continually communicate and work together closely for the Intellectual Property activities in the future.

The Macau SAR government has always been attaching importance to the development of the cooperation zone and promote it in various ways. Ung Kuoc Iang the CEO of MACA was grateful for the support of National Copyright Administration and the promotion for Intellectual Property and music copyright from the Macau government. The Cooperation Zone will make full use of the benefits of Macau and Hengqin and lead a better development in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. Liu Ping the Vice President of MCSC said that MCSC would work with MACA to promote music copyright in Hengqin area, and would look forward to a better cooperation between the two societies. Therefore, MCSC and MACA will seize the opportunities and cooperate in order to better develop music copyright in the Cooperation Zone and the Greater Bay Area. In the previous meeting between MCSC and MACA, the agreement about the cooperation in the future for music copyright management in the Cooperation Zone and the Greater Bay Area was reached.
