MACA held the seventh "Studio Workshop"

Macao, 15 June 2023 -- The "Studio Workshop" organized by The Macau Association of Composers, Authors & Publishers (MACA) was held on 15th, 16th and 21st June respectively. MACA hopes that through this activity, teachers and students can experience the fun of being in the recording studio and intensify students' interest in music. MACA invited Jason Chang, a senior musician, composer, arranger and audio mixing engineer of Macau, as the instructor, to introduce the production process, including how to produce a song completely after the composition of the lyrics. There are some students bringing musical instruments or MMO (Music Minus One) to try to record, experience and learn the process of recording music works, the atmosphere of the event is very enthusiastic! Some teachers and students expressed their expectation to have more opportunities to get in touch with different fields of music and some students expressed their desire to be a mixing engineer in the future. Moreover, MACA mentioned that the music is closely related to everyone's daily life, MACA guides teachers and students to protect original works and respect music copyright through brief explanations. MACA has been hosting the “MACA Studio Workshop" for seven years. This year, there were more than 30 teachers and students joined in this event. Participants came from (names in no particular order) Escola Católica Estrela do Mar, Keang Peng School, Concordia School For Special Education, Escola Tong Sin Tong, Colégio Diocesano de São José 6, Colegio Mateus Ricci, Escola Caritas de Macau, Escola Oficial Zheng Guanying, Escola Xin Hua, Colegio de Santa Rosa de Lima (English Secondary), Hou Kong Premier School Affiliated to Hou Kong Middle School, Escola Secundária Luso-Chinesa de Luís Gonzaga Gomes, Chan Sui Ki Perpetual Help College, Kwong Tai Middle School Macau, Saint Paul School Macau, Escola Tong Nam, Instituto Salesiano de Macau, Our Lady of Fatima Girls School, Escola Luso-Chinesa Técnico-Profissional, Lingnan Secondary School, Colégio Diocesano de São José 5 and Sacred Heart Canossian College Macau (English Section).
