MACA Held the 8th "Studio Workshop"

(Macao,18 July 2024 --) The "Studio Workshop" organized by the Macau Association of Composers, Authors & Publishers (MACA) was held on 16th, 18th and 19th July respectively. MACA has been hosting the “MACA Studio Workshop" for eight years. This year, there were more than 30 teachers and students joined in this event. Participants came from (names in no particular order) Hou Kong Middle School, Colegio de Santa Rosa de Lima (SC), Concordia School For Special Education, Keang Peng School, Escola Secundária Luso-Chinesa de Luís Gonzaga Gomes, Colégio Diocesano de São José 6, Colégio Diocesano de São José 6 (English Section), Escola Tong Sin Tong, Escola dos Moradores de Macau, Instituto Salesiano de Macau, Colegio Mateus Ricci, Escola Portuguesa de Macau, Hou Kong Premier School Affiliated to Hou Kong Middle School, Lingnan Secondary School and Chan Sui Ki Perpetual Help College.

Through this activity, teachers and students can experience the fun of working in the recording studio. Some students brought musical instruments and their new songs that composed by themselves to try to record, experience and learn the process of recording music works, the atmosphere of the event is very joyful! Teachers and students said that through this activity they learned more about recording and the production process of a song, including how to make a complete song after the lyrics are created. Some students also said they would try to compose and write lyrics by themselves, and would also learn more about arrangement, to be a full-time musician in the future. In addition to experiencing the fun of the recording studio, MACA also introduced the importance of protecting music copyright and popularized music copyright knowledge, thereby raising the awareness of teachers and students to focus on music and protect copyright.
