The establishment of MACA has ushered in a new era in which the copyright of music is going to be properly protected, and its efforts are well recognized by the Macau government and the public.

MACA today announced that Melco Crown Entertainment Limited (SEHK: 6883; NASDAQ: MPEL) (“Melco Crown Entertainment”) has signed a historic agreement with MACA regarding the usage and protection of music that has huge significance to the music industry because it was the first contract that MACA has reached with an owner and developer of casino gaming and entertainment resort facilities in Macau. MACA deeply appreciates and is grateful for the signing of the agreement, reflecting Melco Crown Entertainment’s support to the development of Macau’s cultural and creative industry and protection of the copyrights of local and international artists alike.
