• ‘MACA Album Volume 3’ Released for Local Music Talents and for Charitable Causes

        (Macao, Dec. 28, 2014) – – The Macau Association of Composers, Authors & Publishers (MACA) published MACA Albums Volume 1 and 2 in two consecutive years of 2012 and 2013. With great response from the local music industry and the public, this year, MACA has once again made the efforts to publish for local music creators. In MACA Album Volume 3, eight high-quality entry songs from the MACA Song Writers Quest are recorded, hoping to encourage local music creators to continue their great works and to share their music with the public.

     

    The release of MACA Album Volume 3 was held at 3pm at Stage on December 28 2014. The guests in attendance include SOU Tim Peng, Director of the Macau Economic Service, Sonic LEUNG, Chief (subst.) of the Department of Cultural and Creative Industries Promotion of Macao Cultural Bureau, CHEANG Kai Meng, Head of Division of Recreation and Sports of Department of Cultural Activities and Recreation, WONG Keng Chao, Secretary-General of the Committee of Cultural Industries, IEONG Im Im, Functional Manager (subst.) of Education and Youth Affairs Bureau, CHAN Seong Tou, Customs Officer of the Macao Customs, WONG Kuai Leng, Director of Stageof Macao Federation of Trade Unions, IAN Heng Wa, Executive Director of the General Union of Neighborhood Association of Macau, Cathy CHAN In Man, Centre Supervisor and Pele FUNG Chi Ho, Project Executives of the Macao Deaf Association, KEONG Wai Cheng, Creative Supervisor of 100 Plus Music Ltd., Hyper Lo, representatives from Macao Artists Association, UNG Kuoc Iang, Chairman of MACA, TOU Chak Seng, John HO, Directors of MACA, and so on.

     

    Ung Kuoc Iang, Chairman of MACA, stated in his speech that the public awareness of the copyright protect has gradually been raised. With similar aims to promote local creative and cultural industry, the Macao government, and MACA have worked together to provide local music creators with the opportunities to share their talents. It is with the support from Macau Cultural Bureau that the MACA Album Volume 3 is produced and published. Meanwhile, the Chairman emphasizes the importance of respecting music and their music creators. It is important to obtain the Creators’ approval by applying for a music license prior to any public performance. All sales from the MACA albums will be donated to Macau Deaf Association. The donation shall be used to purchase the devices and equipment to help people in need of hearing aid.

     

    The producers and the music creators of MACA Album Volume 3 attended the release ceremony, where the winner of Best Song and Best Music Tracy Chang performed her award-winning piece recorded in the Album.

     

    MACA Album Volume 3 is priced at MOP 68 only per piece at the following locations: Pin-to Livros & Musica, 天域影音中心, ERA Music (all braches), GB Gallery and Talent Music Center. The Album is also available online via KKBOXand iTunes.
